What is a spinal adjustment?
Chiropractors correct misalignments of the spine (subluxations) with their hands, providing specific movements to the spinal vertebrae to restore motion and balance and to remove any nerve pressure. Spinal adjustments are painless. The release of nerve pressure enables the body to heal itself naturally. Putting nothing in, or taking nothing away from the body, the body is able to heal itself once the interference is removed.
What is a subluxation ?
A subluxation occurs when a vertebra is out of position, causing pressure or tension on nerves, muscles, and other soft tissue. This often produces interference or abnormal communication along the nerve pathway. Subluxations may result in differing symptons. Sometimes no symptoms are present. Chiropractors are the only professionals trained to detect and correct subluxations.
Is chiropractic compatible with other types of care ?
Yes. Dr Rosenbaum works with other doctors and specialists within the health care community. Often, chiropractic care is a component of your overall health care. There is no need to stop seeing other doctors while under Dr. Rosenbaum's care.
How long will it take until I get better?
Over 90% of the time a patient is helped within 2 to 3 weeks of adjustments. If your case is beyond our scope we will refer you elsewhere.
